Jeff is an accomplished and respected attorney. Jeff’s prowess in the law was apparent early on. After graduating from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, he attended DePaul University College of Law in Chicago where he graduated in the top 10% of his class, earning him magna cum laude honors and election to the esteemed Order of the Coif. While in Chicago, he gained invaluable experience outside of the classroom as an extern with the United States Attorney’s Office, where he worked on matters ranging from federal criminal appeals to criminal and civil litigation.

After law school, Jeff returned home to his native Detroit area after accepting a position with the Detroit office of the international law firm Clark Hill PLC. Jeff spent over 8 years with the firm, serving as an associate and then senior litigator. During his time with Clark Hill, the firm grew into a national power with offices in several states, and now has several hundred attorneys across the United States and internationally.

Throughout his career, Jeff has litigated highly contentious business, trust and estate, and guardianship/conservatorship matters. His work includes a several years’ long dispute over an estate valued at hundreds of millions of dollars involving claims of undue influence and incapacity of the testator.

Jeff’s trust and estate and probate work would provide the foundation for his career path, as he would spend the next chapter of his career with a highly respected boutique law firm specializing in trust, estate and probate law. There, Jeff gained significant knowledge and experience in trust, estate and probate matters, working on cases ranging from complex trust and estate disputes to guardianship and conservatorship proceedings.

Jeff’s practice takes him to courts throughout southeast Michigan, including Wayne County Probate and Circuit Court, Macomb County Probate and Circuit Court, and Oakland County Probate and Circuit Court. Jeff is also experienced in practicing in federal courts and before administrative hearing officers and judges.
Jeff’s practice today focuses on probate litigation, estate planning and administration, litigation, real estate, and elder law matters. He also handles traditional business matters, including business formation, shareholder disputes, noncompete and trade secret matters, and breach of contract disputes.
